The existing buildings have been demolished and the New Academic Block is being reconstructed in the same location. The New Academic Block is designed with all modern amenities and materials with a design philosophy of timeless architecture. Use of arches and cornices and double-height columns which are styled in the colonial architectural style reminiscent of the history of Welham Boys School.

The Academic Block shall accommodate state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, AV Hall, computer labs, teachers workspaces and lockers. All provisions have been made to make it ergonomic for the differently-abled, with provisions of lifts, ramps, etc. Environmental-friendly provisions like rainwater harvesting, double walls and high ceilings have been judiciously planned.
