MUSSOORIE

The existing block was razed to accommodate a brand new block for the Junior Girls. The lower level which overlooks the football field has a deep verandah which can also be used as a spectator’s gallery.

This level is designed according to the space available due to the presence of a rocky outcrop on the hilly side. The first level has the girls dormitory with allied facilities with separate access and the top floor is a multi-purpose Gymnasium. The terrace has been developed as an outdoor tennis court with fencing all around.

The building has been amalgamated with the existing block in terms of varying levels and approaches. The use of local pathal cladding in the exterior and pinewood ceilings leads to warmth in the built-up space.
